I want to share how Turtle Beach PX21 Earforce a $100 USD headphones ended after 11 months. I would, I was, expect $100 USD headphones to last longer than 11 months. Funny enough, it seems like they've reinforced joints. I guess they were rightfully worried cups might break away. Well, not good enough/wrong spot.
Anyway, as you can see, the left cup has snapped off and the right one is on its way. I haven't claimed warranty yet as I didn't have time to do that. Also, wire snapped prior to this “event” and I've repaired it(btw points for Turtle Beach here). However, I think I might voided my warranty, although that's a completely different problem.
What's next? Well, I'll try to claim warranty at first, but not much of a hope there. I think I might just cut those cups and add a female jack and make rather pricey headphone volume control. Would I buy Turtle Beach again? I'm not sure, although all brands have their up and down products. I've already bought replacement and it's not a Turtle Beach though
I've bought Genius ZABIUS HS-G850 as a replacement for “deceased” PX21. It wasn't easy choice due to my rather “unique” setup. But I'm pleased with headphones in overall. They work, do what I need to do be done, seem to be well made as well(I have head this one before, though). Two comments, though. I don't think these headphones are good for listening to music. It seems to me they have low bass. And despite that's something you don't mind in games, you might mind in music. Second, my ears begin to hurt after a while. But there could be many causes for this one
